A few kind words
What the towns of Scarborough, Saco and Westbrook have to say about Jean-Marie Caterina

“As a resident of the newly formed House District 126, and the recent past Chair of the Town Council, I was pleased to hear that Jean-Marie Caterina has decided to run for this office. I know Jean-Mare to be hard worker with a lot of experience in matters that are important to her constituents. She helped to develop the Senior Tax Credit and raised it to $750. She pushed through the money needed to do a survey of our citizens that was quite illuminating. She works across the table with everyone. If you are looking for experience and energy, Jean-Marie Caterina has it all!”

Scarborough Town Council

Former Scarborough and Saco State Senator

“Over the years in which I have known Jean-Marie Caterina, I have been impressed by her in depth knowledge of the many issues that impact her constituents. She utilizes that knowledge to craft solutions that work. Her background in both the public and private sectors make Jean-Marie the best choice, by far, to represent the people of House District 126 in the Maine Legislature.”

"Councilor Caterina advanced a change in the Senior Property Tax Relief program to increase the benefit from $600 to $750. This means that homeowners who are over 65, lived in town for at least 10 years, and make less than $50,000 will see their taxes go down. Nearly 400 Scarborough households participated in this program last year, with an average age of 77 and an average income of $19,000. In difficult times we need to make sure we protect those most deserving of protection. Thank you Jean Marie for your leadership when it was most needed."
